Teams to Take Note of in League Play looking to make a move and make noise in the Playoffs :
1. Ste. Famille - The French School in Mississauga is holding down the #1 spot in there division with a 4-0 record at the half-way point they seemed primed and ready to hold down 1 of the 2 playoff spots in there pool.
2. St. Augustine - St.Augustine is in the toughest division with teams like Campion , St.Roch and Fletchers Meadow however there record of 5-0 in league play speaks volumes they run that division and are a lock to make the playoffs with St.Roch and Fletchers in a dog fight for 2nd place.
3. Cardinal Ambrozic - Cardinal Ambrozic is looking to play the spoiler in the North East Division which was meant to be and easy 1-2 finish for Ascencion and DY however Cardinal Ambrozic seems to have a handle on 2nd at the half-way point and may be looking at the #1 spot should they defeat DY or Ascencion in the second part of the season .. this shows you just how deep the talent pool is in Peel Region.
The Most Wide open Division the South East:
There seems to be a 4 team race between - Father Geotz, St. Joes, Xavier and Glen Forest all teams are in the hunt or the 2 play-off spots a win or loss between any of these teams could make for an interesting run at the end of the season all games are critical in this division..
Teams that under achieved in the first Half of the Season :
1. Brampton Centennial - Great Tournament Team however their league play record 0-4 does not speak to there talent and ability
2. Applewood - Best Player out with injury for the entire first half of the season however going 0-4 before his return is no excuse .. Basketball is a team game players have to step up.
3. Campion - Great Talent but they fell victim to a few missing players and the best PG in grade 9 plays for the Senior team this team will be great next season as Grade 10's
4. Ascencion - Still in the hunt for a play-off spot in 3rd , this team should be a solid second in there division based on the talent they have they will need to put it all together to make the playoffs.
