Anthony Bennett Will Be Better NEXT Season - 100%
Anthony Bennett’s horrible season ends with a decent game & dunk
“I’ve learned a lot. Obviously, I could’ve been a whole lot better.”
I wouldn’t be surprised if Anthony Bennett turned out to be a solid NBA starter for years to come, but his rookie season will go down as one of the worst of all-time.
The 2013 #1 pick ended his horrible season with an impressive 7 points and 7 boards in just 15 minutes during the Cavs final game of the season last night but his season averages will show 4.2 points, 3 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.2 blocks for the year. Far from impressive.
Bennett did put together a few (6) double digit games during the month before his latest injury but more people will remember his start and how it took him 5 games to score his first field goal, 32 games to reach 10 points and 42 games to reach his first and only double double of the season.
Let’s hope he bounces back next season and keep in mind that hall of famer Gary Payton had a horrible rookie season and even considered retirement.
