July 4th, 2016
Jamaica rode the hot hands of Sheveron Williams and Jalen Menzies to pull off a 80-67 come from behind win in overtime when the Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) male under-16 championship continued on Sunday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall in Georgetown, Guyana.
Jamaica trailing throughout the entire game finally took the lead in the fourth quarter with four minutes remaining.
However, Menzies would hit one of two free throws with 18.6s left in game to send the thriller to overtime.
Menzies followed his clutch free throws with a three-pointer to open overtime followed by a mid-range jumper from Williams to give Jamaica the lead that they never relinquished thereafter.
Meanwhile earlier, Williams was hot as he dropped a game high 32 points to go along with 23 rebounds while Menzies who displayed his sick handles with a few ankle breakers on his opponents dropped 28 points in the win. Jabari Cunningham had 10 points in the win.
