We finally had a chance to talk with one of Malton's favorite young basketball players Rajean Hudson aka "Young Ray" and we found him in Abbortsford B.C playing for highly regarded Yale Secondary School on the Senior Team. The move from Mississauga to B.C has been a good one for Raejean he is playing high level basketball in a great environment being coached his Uncle Euan Roberts.
When Raejean left for the West Coast he stood about 6'5 225 pounds he is now about 6'7 and shooting the ball better than ever as a 6-7 man on the the team learing from the Seniors as a Grade 10 player YALE Secondary is a program that is always ranked provincially in B.C playing in B.C version of OFSAA every year.
We asked Ray about a few things on his West Coast Adventure :
1. Weather - Loves it
2. People You have met - Awesome people in B.C they have made the move easy for me
3. Basketball - High Level similar to OBA
4. Playing Sr. - Challenging learning to play harder and consistent
5. Do you miss Malton - Always miss my friends in Malton and the GTA
We track Young Raejean because we know this kid has tons of talent and upside in the game of Basketball and he is a very likeable kid who we see doing big things in Basketball either in the NCAA or in Canada he's a cant miss prospect at 6'7 in grade 10 who can shoot the life out the basketball at his size.
We wish Raejean the best of luck out in B.C representing Malton, Mississauga on the West Coast.
