Why did Quebec & Ontario Enter a Team ?? -- Canadian National Championship - U15 & U17 July 25 to 30.

This years Canadian National Championship in Edmonton might just be the most forgotten National Tournament in the History of Basketball Tournaments for kids this summer reason being they scheduled the date in the middle of a Live Period for AAU summer teams and kids that want to make it Big in the U.S.
Why would you be playing on your Provincial Team in Canada when their are actually 1 million better things to do during that week to raise your exposure with major U.S colleges as a 15-17 year old elite basketball player.

Example :

Why are the Canadian basketball championships the same week as last week of AAU tourneys? Why go head to head? CFL vs NFL.

Quebec U17s lose by 23pts to weakest Ontario team in long time. The decline over the years is concerning.

What we can gather from these expert observations is that Team Ontario is weak and Team Quebec is weak at this National Tournament and we all know Quebec and Ontario are pumping out NBA and NCAA players like McDonald's pumps out Big Macs so what could be the problem ..?

1. AAU Tournaments all over the U.S
2. Specialized I.D camps all over the U.S this week
3. CIA Bounce - Caribana Classic Camp this weekend - July 26-27
4. Most Kids in the Major Hotbeds don't really care about the Provincial Team not if your a D1 prospect you probably have better things to do in order to further your recruiting.

We can all say Basketball is exploding in Canada but lets all be honest with ourselves basketball talent is exploding in the GTA and Quebec with Alberta and B.C always having some talent but never to the degree of Ontario or Quebec the demographics are just not the same in each province nor the desire to promote the game in the same way as cities like Toronto or Montreal.

Next year lets be smart and have the National Championship in mid or late August so the Ballers can all come out and see what we really have to show in the country.
