Canadian Invasion At St. Ben’s Prep
Some of Canada’s biggest 2016 talents are banding together in hopes of bringing St. Benedict’s Prep back to national contention.
Returning senior and Toronto native 2015 Kamar McKnight will be joined by fellow Canadian ballers and 2016′s 6’7″ Isaiah Mike (Hoops Canada) 6’5″ Daniel Cummings (CIA Bounce), 6’3″ Tyrell Gumbs-Frater (Grassroots Canada) and 6’0″ Marcus Ottey (Association Canada).
“We’ve had a lot of positive involvement dealing with Canadian players. They’ve come down and done pretty well in all aspects not just basketball. They follow the rules and do well in school” Gray Bee’s head coach Mark Taylor told Hoops Hype Canada Wednesday.
Also in serious discussions to switch schools for September is 2016 6’7″
Kevin Hamlet who was reported to be transferring from Modesto CA to Newark NJ by Hoops Hype Canada last week. Aka Big Red is possibly the final piece to the puzzle for the Gray Bee’s entering 2014-15,

“We think we have a great opportunity to get Kevin [Hamlet] in to St. Benedict’s. If that works out we will be pretty good.”
Hamlet the 6’7″ stretch four is capable of giving Coach Taylor cost efficient minutes in both scoring and rebounding up front.
HIDDEN GEM
2017 6’7″ Isaiah Mike (Hoops Canada) is relatively unknown back home in Canada but Coach Taylor has all-ready admitted he loves both his attitude and motor.
“Just has such a good presence about him where he wants it, he wants to learn, he’s willing, he’s humble but at the same time he goes out there and he just does not stop, he just goes.”
