WHAT WE LEARNED ABOUT BASKETBALL IN THE GTA - OFSAA MISSISSAUGA 2014

With OFSAA winding down and the Final between Oakwood & Henry Carr about to kick off at 8pm Tonight March 5, 2014..

We have learned a few things people may not want to know or take action towards in the near future.

1. More Teams are Needed this should be a much Bigger Event
2. Brampton / Mississauga / Toronto need more automatic Bids

3. This is a City Game the last 4 teams Standing are all within a    30 min drive of each other.

4. Seeding is not critical in OFSAA there were many close games from teams people thought were not as competitive

5. OFSAA should be a weekend Tournament you will not get the attendance you deserve with Mid-Week games that are early in the day the game of Basketball demands more than that now people want to watch the kids play live.

6. Bill Crothers and Schools of that nature should be allowed in OFSAA although they are great teams they would not walk over the two OFSAA Finalists not sure what people are so afraid of with these schools kids are kids its always a fair match up.

7. Some coaches don't watch game tape or adjust there would have been many more upsets had this occurred there is enough time to match-up and game plan before tip-off

8. Keep AAAA OFSAA in the GTA as most of the top Teams are from here and the interest in Basketball is here at a High Level do not move the location to any Rural Areas thats what AA, A OFSAA is for.

9. St.Mikes College and St. John's-Kilmarnock School should not be in there own Conference they should have to Qualify in the normal Public School Group although they are good it looks like a Free Ride.

We wont put a #10 because other than the 9 things mentioned everything is amazing in the sport of Basketball and OFSAA 2014..

Great Season 2014.. #gameshootersport
