NBA AGE LIMIT - THE SOLUTION

The debate has started again with the "NEW" Commissioner Adam Silver wanting to make his mark on the NBA by increasing the age Limit to 20 years Old for any Rookie to join the NBA or be 2 years removed from High School.

On the surface many people agree to this proposal and think its a great concept the player will be better and more mature and improve the quality of the NBA game they even go as far as to say more physically ready for 82 games .. even a 20 year old rookie will not be prepared for 82 games its just too many games for any person or Athlete the first time around.

The Solution :

1. Allow High School Graduates into the NBA Draft / Draft them and pay them a Pro-Rated Rookie Salary/They must play 2 years in the D-League until they are Age 20/ Enter the League at 20 and receive the remainder of there Rookie Salary this would be similar to the NHL Minor League or Baseball prove yourself and get paid a reasonable amount.

Issue 1- NCAA would hate this kids would opt for the Pro Rated Rookie Deal it would still be worth near millions compared to playing College for Free

Issue 2 - NBA would hate this feeling they are really gutting the NCAA the one and done wouldn't even occur and no Free NCAA marketing of players prior to entering the NBA it would be like killing the Golden Goose.

Good Side: Save the NBA a ton of money on players / Improve the D-League / Give players more time to develop / NCAA would finally be a true College Experience with players who choose this route staying more than 2 years.

This is just a thought .. It could work.. #gameshootersport
