GameShooter Sport Twitter-view - ELI LONG / INTERVIEW Q&A

GAMESHOOTER SPORT INTERVIEW WITH Mississauga Baller & Florida Gulf Coast University Commit. Eli took the time to answer few questions on the next phase in his Basketball Journey.

1. What made you choose Florida Gulf Coast besides the weather and location ? what about the program appealed to you the most ?

Answer : "The reason why I chose FGCU was not for the location or the campus although it is nice I chose FGCU because the program is on the come up and I feel that the program is at a level I feel I can grow as Basketball Player. I feel like I have something to prove at FGCU it does not mot matter what School you go to if your good enough people will know you from your body of work on the court The other reason I chose FGCU is the trust and faith Coach Dooley has in my coming into the Program as well as the style of play  at FGCU run and gun, transition Basketball alley oops etc... "

2. How has playing Prep Basketball in DC changed your game vs Playing HS Basketball in Mississauga (Canada) ?

Answer : "Playing in the States compare to Canada is way different ..taught me about the nuances of the game and that there is more to work on mentally than physically in the game of Basketball. In the States the HS game is more about College preparation than in Canada.
Even though Canada has great individual talent I feel like there are better teams down here in the states and there is so much more that I have learned while playing in the states."

3. What Level of Basketball has Impacted your game the most to get you where you are today  - OBA, AAU, HS or Prep ?

Answers : "I would say AAU & PREP. Going up against the best players in the Nation day in and day out definitely elevated my game to a whole other level. "

4. People think Brampton produces all the Ballers in the GTA & Peel Region we know you are from Mississauga the Square One Area of town can you name a few Ballers on the come-up in Ssauga City ?

Answers : Mississauga come up: Dillon Brooks, Naz Long, Nick Staukus, Andrew Nicholson, Cody John & David Tyndal

5. In your Freshman season next year what is the goal you would most like to accomplish DAY 1 on Campus with the new squad ?

Answers : "I want to show people that even though I am a freshmen I don't play like a Freshmen. I don't play like it .. I play better than a Freshmen All Business"

6. Future Goals in Basketball - National Team , Europe or NBA which goal are you shooting for the most ?

Answers : "I am shooting for the highest I can possibly go which is the NBA but I have to take baby steps and whatever the future holds for me I will be grateful for. If i work hard like i have the sky is the limit and everyone has there own path and I feel like mine may be a little longer than others but I am ok with that.

We would like to thank Eli for his time and we wish him even greater success in the Future - GameShooter Sport - www.gameshootersport.com
