AAU PRE-SEASON UPDATE - WHO IS A SNEAKER TEAM AND WHO IS NOT..

AAU CANADA : WHO IS A SNEAKER TEAM AND WHO IS NOT...

AAU season will be kicking off shortly as early as April for many of the Top Programs in the GTA schedules are being made and private calls dialed to the key players who will be travelling the U.S representing Canada for any number of travelling AAU Teams.

The question of which Club is sponsored or on a Circuit is something new to Canadian Basketball for many years we did not have a single sponsored Team / Club in the Country however for the past 5 years CIA Bounce has held Nike the biggest of all shoe companies leading to a few other Clubs in the GTA and Quebec getting into the mix.

2. Northern Kings (Toronto & East End of GTA)
Not Sponsored but Nike affiliated Unis and a deal of kicks "they look sponsored"

AAU mostly Eastern U.S and Local Quebec Tournaments
One of the top Youth Basketball Clubs in Canada

** If there are any more teams to add in the GTA or Ontario/Quebec who travel heavily and are Top Teams let us know we will do our research and add your Team or Club to the list **

Big Questions :

1. If I'm on one of these teams do I pay is it free ?
Answer : In Canada of course you pay something AAU still isn't cheap but at least if your rolling       with one of the bigger teams in the top Tournaments you will be rewarded.

2. How do I get on one of these Teams?
Answer : Tryout if the teams are holding Tryouts, Play well in your OBA or HS Season get noticed     someone will ask you to play trust us if your good and killing on the court they will find you AAU     is about loading up on the best talent possible it has nothing to do with who your dad is or your           uncle can you hoop?

3. If I am not on one of these AAU Teams can I still get a scholarship?
Answer : Yes you can these teams help your exposure to top talent and coaches however they are
not the only way into the NCAA in some cases a smaller Club may get you noticed due to              increased playing time and performance.

4. My OBA Team will be offering an AAU program this Summer is it worth it ?
Answer : Depends on the player and the Club what is there agenda in offering AAU in the summer
if you go to bad tournaments playing random competition it may not help you however if you
check out the tournaments prior based on reputation you will be able to see the value before you
    spend the time and money.

Hopefully our information serves you well in making a choice on what to this summer and which teams to aspire too play for - GameShooter Sport.
