This Weekend in Junior Basketball was very interesting - The Turner Fenton Tournament , DY Jam Fest & The Call of the Wild Tournament all happening in the same week Brampton was the Centre of of the Junior Basketball Universe for Grade 9 & 10 Boys in the GTA..
What We found out : DY can be beaten although it takes a mighty Team to defeat them.. Kajon "The Amazing" cannot always will his team to victory however DY should still be considered an Elite Team as there 2 defeats come at the hands of the Mighty Henry Carr & a very Talented Holy Trinity Oakville.
What We found out : Holy Trinity may just be the Junior Team to Beat in Halton by winning the DY Tournament they should be considered a top 3 Team in Peel & Halton .. Wheza Panzo is a Future Star and Callum Baker is a more than capable PG as Freshmen running the Holy Trinity Offense.
We found out New on the Radar Sacred Heart (New Market) features an Elite PG in young Matthew Kiatipis he managed to make an impact in the DY Tournament with his skill set and killer instinct watch out for Mr.Kiatipis he's a "Bad Boy"
.
We also found out that the Campion Junior Team can really hoop they play with a nice pace and style lead by Taje Walters and Matthew "Money" Green who has fit in nicely with Walters they compliment each other as a great 1-2 punch in the back court and set the table for Big man Ethan Nelles and Super Shooter Ethan Santos Campion will be ready to Upset DY or Brampton Centennial when the time comes.
We found a sleeper team this weekend Brampton Centennial who have been on a great run of late Winning the Call of the Wild Tournament this team seems to be the team with the most to gain by playing the traditional Junior powers in Brampton .. from what we hear they would like a shot at DY asap.. they believe they are ready to be the Kings of Brampton.
Teams to watch in your review Mirror in the GTA : Pickering High , Mount Carmel (Mississauga), Henry Carr, Father Goetz, St.Augustine (Brampton)
In our review of the weekend of these are the Teams we took note of feel free to let us know about your Squad and why they should be mentioned - GameShooter Sport
