Canadian - Derek Ogbeide committed to the University of Geogia Bulldogs.




Mark Fox picked up his third recruit for the 2015 class when 3-star center Derek Ogbeide committed to the Bulldogs.
Ogbeide committed to the Bulldogs today at a ceremony at his high school. He will sign with UGA and submit his National Letter of Intent today, which is the final day of the early signing period.
A native of Nigeria, Derek Ogbeide moved to Mableton, Ga. last year from Toronto, Canada and plays for the Southern Stampede AAU team.
Ogbeide (6-8, 240) committed to UGA over Houston and Memphis. He also had offers from Georgia Southern, Kennesaw State, Ole Miss, Murray State, Tennessee Tech, and Virginia Tech.
Both Rivals.com and 247Sports rate Derek Ogbeide as a 3-star recruit. In the 247Sports Composite, Ogbeide is rated No. 206 overall, the No. 21 center, and the No. 14 recruit in Georgia.
Georgia will close the 2015 early period with three signees. Will Jackson, a 4-star point guard from Athens, and E’Torrion Wilridge, a 3-star small forward from Beaumont, Texas, signed with the Bulldogs last Wednesday.
