SAROOP CHANA WILL ATTEND DAVID SUZUKI (BRAMPTON)
SAROOP CHANA is a Kid everyone knows within Brampton Basketball circles the main reason for this fame is his consistency Saroop is just always in a gym or on a team playing for someone all in the name of working on his game and gaining experience. Saroop is the opposite of most kids playing Rep Basketball he never really focused being on the fancy teams he just wants to play ball and play hard he is what you would call a "No Gimmicks" Kid. Saroop has played for all of the Elite Teams during his Rep career Brampton Warriors Atom (Sedore), Cia Bounce, Brampton Kings & Inter City Saints (Brampton) the kid probably has every Jersey which is a testament to coach's knowing you can count on Saroop to fill a role and be a strong team player and leader on and off the court.Make no mistake Saroop can play and on more than many ocassions he puts in work on so called name brand players its all a matter of time in regards to Saroop's development as a complete player.
The keys to Saroops overall game are :
1. Rebounding - Saroop is a willing rebounder versus any opposition
2. Defense - Strong Athletic Defender Saroop will guard anyone giving maximum effort
3. Creativity - An above average athlete with his own creative flare
4. Scoring - Saroop can score mid range and above average slashing ability
5. Team Play / Leadership - Most kids this age do not show this early however Saroop it that guy
whatever you ask him to do on the court gets done without fail or question.
We anticipate Saroop having a great High School Career at David Suzuki where he will join his older brother Anoop Chana ,Kameron David & Antonio Roach this coming fall.
We also believe Saroop will develop into a CIS player as his grades are excellent and his skills will improve to that level within the next 4 years.
